The Eagles got the ball to Horan with time running out, the Eagles down by one. Instead of shooting his trademark jumpshot, Horan decided to drive to the goal. Eagles Win Against Their Older Brethren in Alumni Game
As this was the only scrimmage the Eagles would have going into the regular season, the Eagles came out a little off the mark offensively and maybe showed a case of the opening game jitters. The depth of the Eagles probably took its toll on the veteran Alumni who gamely challenged the younger players. The pressure applied by the younger players caused many turnovers by the Alumni and some shots that weren’t falling in the first half found their mark in the second half. All the Eagles played in the game and helped contribute to the victory.
