DUBUQUE, IA – The Lady Eagles added further depth to their roster today with the signing of local standout Emma Reibling.
Reibling, an outside hitter, had a strong career at Tri-State Christian (Galena, IL), where she was a four year letter winner and three year varsity captain. A three-time 1st team NICC All-Conference selection, Emma was also the TSCS Invitational MVP in 2016, and made the ACSI Tri-State All-Tournament Team in 2015. She put down 460 kills and served 204 aces during her time with the Lady Huskies, including setting the school single season ace record.
"Emma has strong leadership qualities and character, and will be a great fit for our team," commented Coach Pitman. "She is talented in a number of areas and her versatility will be important to us. We are excited to have her on board this fall!"
"I have grown up with a Christian education, but I think Emmaus will really take that to the next level," said Reibling. "I am really excited to study the Bible and gain wisdom from those older in years! Emmaus is more than an education; it's a place to grow in your walk with the Lord."
"As I have watched the Lady Eagles over the past couple of years, I have seen much growth and more intense competition. I am really excited to get to know these ladies and learn from their volleyball and life skills," Emma continued. "I am expecting this season to be a challenge, as I have not played at this high of a level, but I am looking forward to improving. I love the sport of volleyball with a passion and I am excited to further my career with these wonderful people."
Emma is the daughter of James and Fawn Reibling, and is currently undecided in her choice of major.
