Emmaus Volleyball Announces First 2017 Signings May 12, 2017 The Lady Eagles are pleased to announce the addition of Kendra and Nicole Gordon to their roster for the upcoming season. The Gordon sisters were both three year letter winners at Hamilton High (Hamilton City, CA), where they led the Lady Braves to a Northern Section Division V Championship.
Emmaus Captures Third Place at Nationals to End Season November 14, 2016 “This was a fun match and another great performance by both teams,” said Coach Pitman. “Ozark has a few rotations that are very strong and we adjusted our rotations accordingly in each set to find our best matchup against them. The victory was a true team effort as we had key clutch plays from every player at certain points of the match. This was some of our best volleyball of the season. I am glad that we were able to perform so well in another pressure situation and that we never let the score affect our game plan.”
Emmaus Wins First Match at National Tournament November 11, 2016 ”Alli Howard led the attack for Emmaus with 8 kills. Hannah Snow and Savannah Petersen each chipped in 5. Vivienne Yates had 4 aces and 12 digs. Hannah Bell had 21 assists and teamed up with Elizabeth Brame for 5 assisted blocks. Jenny Benson had 3 kills and Rachel West had 7 digs.
Lady Eagles Fall to Arlington in Hard Fought Match November 11, 2016 “Taking a set from Arlington was no small feat for us, and the ladies should be proud of their effort today. We had very low error counts in all four sets, which means Arlington had to put balls down on the floor to win – and that is how we wanted to play against them,” commented Coach Pitman. “We gave our all and I am very proud of how we never gave up.
Lady Eagles Head to ACCA Tournament November 9, 2016 “We used our time off after the MCCC tournament for recovery and productive practice sessions, so we feel ready to compete,” commented Coach Pitman. “Every team in this tournament has strength and I believe every match will be a tough test for us. We have stuck together as a team this season through highs and lows and I am looking forward to this being a challenging and fun end to this year’s journey.”
Lady Eagles Make History in Manhattan! October 22, 2016 “Everything was going our way and we forced Faith into generating a lot of errors,” commented Coach Pitman. “They are a well-coached and strong opponent and we said after set two that we expected new strategies from Faith and that they would do everything they could to gain momentum.” Indeed it was a different Faith team that emerged, and put Emmaus in the hole with tough serving and hard hitting. The Lady Eagles could not string together any good runs and struggled defensively.
