Eagles Battle at MCCC Tournament
Manhattan Kansas — The Eagles encountered a tough series at the Midwest Christian College Conference (MCCC) Tournament in Manhattan, Kansas, resulting in two hard-fought losses.
February 20, 2025 - Emmaus 92, CCCB 99
Emmaus opened regional tournament play in Manhattan Kansas, falling to Central Christian College of the Bible in a high-scoring battle, 99–92. The Eagles were led by Taydem Arguello, who delivered a stellar performance with 31 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 steal.
Nash Harper and Eli Mackey also made major contributions for Emmaus, each scoring 15 points. Harper added a team-high 11 rebounds and 6 assists, while Mackey recorded a double-double with 10 boards to go along with 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block. Josh Stewart chipped in 17 points, hitting five 3-pointers.
Although the Eagles controlled the glass with a 45-rebound effort, the Eagles couldn't hold off CCCB.
February 21, 2025 - Emmaus 67, Barclay 72
Emmaus wrapped up their second day of regional tournament play with a tough 83–67 loss to Maranatha Baptist. Eli Mackey led the Eagles with an impressive 27-point performance, knocking down five three-pointers and grabbing 11 rebounds. Nash Harper contributed a well-rounded game with 15 points, 9 rebounds, and a team-high 8 assists.
Despite a strong rebounding effort (44 total), the Eagles struggled from the field, shooting just 33.8% overall and 25% from beyond the arc.
