Rothweiler Signs with Eagles Men's Basketball
Emmaus Men's Basketball is proud to announce the addition of David Rothweiler, a 6'4" small forward from Twin Falls, Idaho, to its 2025 men's basketball recruiting class. Rothweiler, a standout at Canyon Ridge High School plans to pursue a degree in pre-professional health.
Rothweiler, a multi-sport athlete, lettered in both basketball and football, and served in leadership roles with his church youth group and National Honor Society.
In choosing Emmaus, Rothweiler emphasized the importance of finding the right fit both on and off the court.
"The main reason I am choosing Emmaus is the community," he said. "I was really looking for a tight-knit place that I could call home for the next four years, and Emmaus is that. Along with the fact that it is a Christian school, has great academic accolades, and I will be able to continue my athletic career — all of these made Emmaus the perfect place for me!"
Beyond athletics, Rothweiler is eager to immerse himself in student life and spiritual growth at Emmaus.
"I am most looking forward to the student life — all of the activities and events that happen on campus," he added. "I'm also looking forward to the basketball season, as well as growing in my faith as a Christian."
"David is a great fit for us" noted Coach Parker "He works really hard and plays good basketball the right way. I'm excited to see how he grows as a man and a player during his career here and i'm grateful to have him and his family join our program."
Emmaus is a fully-accredited four-year college offering more than 30 professional and ministry-related academic programs. Emmaus athletic teams compete in the NCCAA Division II and the Midwest Christian College Conference.
