Emmaus Men’s Basketball Announces Addition of Savion Edwards
The Emmaus University Men's Basketball program is excited to announce the signing of Savion Edwards, a 6'5" wing from Clermont, Florida. Edwards transfers to Emmaus from Bethany College and will be coming off a medical redshirt for the 2025–26 season.
"We're excited to welcome Savion to the Emmaus family. He will add additional size and length to help make us better. He's a genuine higher-purpose player who plays the game for the right reasons, bringing hard work, character, and a love for the Lord," said Coach Parker.
Edwards, who plans to study Cybersecurity at Emmaus, was drawn to the university because of its unwavering commitment to Christ-centered education and athletics.
"'Christ is the center of Emmaus'—hearing that multiple times from the coaching staff was huge to me," said Edwards. "Just being part of a program that is rooted in Christ means everything to me, so that's why I chose Emmaus. I know being here will allow me to grow more in my walk with Christ."
"I'm looking forward to growing spiritually, creating bonds with my teammates, and building new relationships on and off the court," Edwards added.
