Emmaus Runners Open Season at Bob Schultz Invite
The Emmaus University cross country teams launched their 2025 season at the Loras College Bob Schultz Invitational on Friday evening, competing against a strong field of NCAA Division III, NAIA, and community college programs.
Men's Race (5K)
Senior Caleb Ness led the way for the Eagles, finishing in 19:09 to place 73rd overall in a deep field of over 90 runners. Junior Christian Vanderkrol crossed the line shortly behind in 19:17, securing 78th place. Freshman Nathan Bean (81st, 19:21) and freshman Isaac Sauer (87th, 19:49) made strong collegiate debuts, while sophomore Daniel Schuldt rounded out the Emmaus scoring pack in 96th place with a time of 21:01.
Women's Race (5K)
On the women's side, senior Anna Coniglio was the top finisher for Emmaus, clocking 22:24 for 45th place overall. Junior Riley Rath (58th, 25:41), sophomore Lillian Holtan (61st, 26:35), and freshmen Aria Easton (63rd, 27:36) and Jesse Suter (66th, 30:00) all contributed to the team's opening performance.
Both teams are back at is this weekend, running at the Dutch Invitational in Pella, IA. The women's race starts at 6:00 with the men following at 6:45. More information can be found here.
