Eagles Dominate in Region Matchup
The Emmaus Eagles women's basketball continued their 2025–26 campaign in commanding fashion Tuesday night, rolling to a 78–36 road win over Maranatha Baptist.
Emmaus set the tone early, racing out to a 27–7 lead after the first quarter behind hot shooting and relentless defense. The Eagles forced 30 turnovers and notched 21 steals in the game, converting those extra possessions into 16 points off turnovers and 30 points in the paint.
Amelia Mackey led the way with 19 points, 6 steals, and 3 assists, knocking down three triples and sparking Emmaus's early surge. Fellow guard Aubry Silva matched her with 19 points, adding 3 steals and 2 assists while hitting three 3-pointers of her own. Erin McKenna chipped in 12 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds, while Hanna Kreiner added 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field.
Inside, Rachel Barrett anchored the defense and glass with 8 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks—helping Emmaus control the boards against the Sabercats.
Emmaus held Maranatha to just 24.5% shooting from the floor and 0-of-3 from beyond the arc. The Eagles' defense held the Sabercats to single digits in each of the first two quarters, taking a 44–12 halftime lead and never looking back.
The Eagles are back on the hardwood saturday afternoon for an early tipoff against Mt. Mary University at 12:00 PM in Pollard Fieldhouse.
