2nd Half Surge Leads Lady Eagles to Victory!
22 Point Turnaround (Down by 9 at halftime, Win by 13)!
Dubuque, IA -- January 24, 2026
The Emmaus University Eagles used a dominant second half to secure a 69–56 home victory over Central Christian College of the Bible on Saturday afternoon at Pollard Fieldhouse.
The game was tight early, with Central Christian holding a 33–24 advantage (their largest lead of the game) at halftime after outscoring the Eagles in the second quarter.
Emmaus responded with its best stretch of the game after the break, outscoring the Saints 22–11 in the third quarter to flip the momentum. The Eagles carried that energy into the fourth, adding 23 more points to put the game away.
This resulted in a 22-point turnaround, being down 9 at halftime, and winning by 13! A resilient effort by the Ladies!
Rachel Barrett delivered a monster all-around performance, leading Emmaus with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and an eye-popping seven blocks (unofficial Record contender), while also going 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.
Always Aggressive Aubry Silva paced the offense with 23 points, nine rebounds, and five steals, providing key scoring during the second-half surge.
Feisty Marina Keck added 15 points, eight rebounds, and four steals, while Erin McKenna chipped in 10 points and three assists.
Defensively, the Eagles were outstanding, holding Central Christian to just 27.7% shooting from the field and forcing 16 turnovers.
With the win, Emmaus improves to 8–5 overall and 4–2 in MCCC (Conference) play, continuing a strong run at home as conference play heats up, hopefully setting up for an exciting postseason!
