Eagles Win Regional Championship!!! Advance to National Tournament!
3rd Time in Program History!
February 28, 2026 -- Dubuque, IA
For the Third time in Emmaus University Women's Basketball History, the Eagles win the Regional Championship!
The Eagles came out on top in the NCCAA DII Midwest Regional Championship 67-64 over the opposing Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders.
Coach Cunard utilized only 6 players, but that was all that was needed.
Aubry Silva (11), Rachel Barrett (12), Marina Keck (17), and Amelia Mackey (20) scored double-digit points.
Rachel and Marina crashed the boards with 14 and 11 rebounds respectively.
Erin McKenna and Sydney Mulgrew also played huge roles with solid defense and all arounnd production
The Difference in the game was clutch free throw shooting all around by the Eagles! They went 27-31 from the line for a very impressive 87%! (compared to GLCC's 47% 8/17)
Congratulations to the Eagles on a well-deserved Championship, but the work isn't done! And we applaud the Crusaders for their effort, they played very well.
This is the fifth Regional Championship in Emmaus University History and the third in Women's Basketball history. This is also the second Regional Championship that Emmaus won this academic year as the Women's Volleyball team came out on top back in the Fall! (First in EU history that the Eagles have won multiple Regional Championships in the same academic year!) (Also, shoutout to Stephanie Hodges who was on the Women's Volleyball team when they won their regional championship, and has now won it with the women's basketball team as well!)
Up Next: The Eagles will travel to Minneapolis, MN for the National Tournament, hosted by Crown College on March 11-14. Thank you for your support this season! Come Out and Support Your Eagles One More Weekend!
