Season Over after Tiebreaker Loss to Alice Lloyd
Eagles Play Tough, but Ultimately Fall Short
Joplin, MO -- November 21, 2025
After a late-night volleyball match victory last night against Alice Lloyd (which forced a tiebreaker today), Emmaus could not come back to win this morning's match. Emmaus with a competitive effort but ultimately came up short in a 25–19 loss to Alice Lloyd College in Thursday's opener at the Mason Performing Arts Building.
The Eagles matched the Lady Eagles point-for-point early, but a late surge by ALC swung the momentum. Emmaus hit .182 in the set, led by Alice Green's four kills on eight swings (.375) and Selah Gregory's three kills (.500), as the Eagles kept the frame close throughout. Lindsey McIlveen added three kills and a block to help steady the offense.
Defensively, libero Jennika Beach anchored serve-receive with six digs and a perfect passing percentage, while setter Michelle Striley directed the attack with 12 assists. Despite strong stretches—especially a mid-set push that trimmed the deficit to one—Emmaus couldn't fully slow down Alice Lloyd's balanced attack.
This match concludes the Season for the Emmaus University Eagles Women's Volleyball Team as their run in the NCCAA Division II National Tournament comes to an end.
The Eagles thank you for your support throughout the Season!
